Juan Andrés is a happy four year old, who loves to sing, dance, play music and is obsessed with dinosaurs.

In early March 2021, we received the news that our little cousin in Colombia had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and that he was to be rushed to the ICU for a blood transfusion. His condition has since been stabilised and he is due to undertake extensive chemotherapy over the coming months.

Already devastated by the pandemic, Juan Andrés' parents face growing pressures as they move into this next phase.

Being so far away from our family isn't easy, so setting up a fundraiser to help take some of that weight off their shoulders is the least we can do.

That's where you come in.

The donations collected here will be used to help Juan Andres' parents pay for rent, food, homeschooling and day to day expenses while he undergoes his treatment which could take several years. His parents will need to take time off work to care for him, but the lack of income and extra expenses means greater stress for the family.
