Help Juan and Savannah in a Tough Time
Donation protected
On April 22nd, Juan - a 26-year-old loving partner and hardworking father to two boys, Eli, age 2, and Mateo, age 1 - made a trip to urgent care that no one expected would lead to the news received in the following days.
After days of bloodwork, multiple CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and 3 biopsies, Juan has been diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) is an aggressive blood and bone marrow cancer that occurs when the bone marrow produces too many abnormal B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that fights infection.
Juan will be unable to work for the foreseeable future and will remain in the hospital for a minimum of 8 weeks as he begins his treatment. Savannah, his amazing partner and mother to their children, will be supporting their two babies and caring for the household, all while being by his side as much as possible.
Although Juan and his family remain as positive and as hopeful as possible, they have a tough journey ahead. It has greatly impacted his life; Juan works in the hospitality industry where he is typically surrounded by people and wonderful energy daily. While he continues to keep a positive attitude, the financial burden of medical expenses and not being able to contribute to the household affects him.
Juan started chemotherapy on May 1st. In addition to his diagnosis of B-ALL Leukemia, a mass on his kidney and ascites around his liver have been discovered.
With Juan’s inability to fight infections due to his diagnosis, visitors are limited but letters of love are welcomed.
We are humbly asking for help on their behalf in any way possible; financially to support their baby boys and help toward medical expenses with the loss of income, Uber Eats gift cards to help a busy mom, and anything to keep his spirits up while in the hospital are all greatly appreciated.
