️Help Skier Juan Acosta qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics! ❄️
Juan Acosta is a 47 year old passionate Colombian athlete and coach, who has a unique opportunity to compete and represent his country in alpine skiing Giant Slalom, a discipline where there are no other male Colombian athletes.
Juan will make an initial trip to Italy on November 24, 2025 to participate in 4 FIS sanctioned races and return to Colombia on December 4th. Then based on those results he will plan a training trip before the February Olympic Games in Italy.
This could be a historic moment for Colombia and a dream come true for this lifelong athlete - and he needs our help.
The back story…
Juan is a passionate athlete who has dedicated much of his life to skiing and snowboarding and coaching both winter sports in the United States and had already let his Olympic dream fade.
However, upon returning to Colombia, Juan was randomly invited to a race event hosted by the Colombian Olympic Committee, where after meeting with the coaches they proposed the idea of him participating in the upcoming Olympic Games not only as a coach but also as an athlete.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for Colombia, for Juan, and for other aging athletes that he can inspire to continue to dream big.
How can you help?
During the qualification process Juan must cover his own costs, which include:
A November trip with:
✈️ Round Trip Flights Bogotá - Milan
⛷️ Resort ski passes for training and competition access
Transportation between stations, hotels, resorts, and race venues
Equipment rentals, purchases and maintenance
️ Accommodation and meals for about 10 days
A January trip (depending on November results):
✈️ Round Trip Flights Bogotá - Barcelona
⛷️ Resort ski passes for training and competition access
Transportation between stations, hotels, resorts, and race venues
Equipment rentals, purchases and maintenance
️ Accommodation and meals for about 10 days
These two trips have an estimated cost of about $10000 USD.
Once Juan qualifies, the Colombian athlete’s federation will take care of his Olympic travel costs. In the meantime, your generosity and support will help him represent Colombia and inspire future generations of winter athletes.
Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
