Help JR Covarrubias on his recovery from brain surgery

Dear Friends and Family,

JR Covarrubias is currently facing an uphill battle in his recovery journey after undergoing brain surgery. This difficult time has brought us all closer together, and we are hopeful for his future, but we need your support to help him regain his independence.

JR had brain surgery to control a hemorrhage in a delicate part of his brain. The surgery was a success, but the road to recovery has proven to be incredibly challenging. He is currently in therapy, working tirelessly to relearn basic functions that many of us take for granted. Each day is a monumental effort as he navigates the complexities of holding utensils for eating and drinking, standing, using the bathroom, regaining his vision, and even learning to speak again. It’s as if he is relearning everything as a baby would.

Despite the immense challenges he faces, I am grateful to share that JR is recovering well. However, the journey ahead is still long and filled with uncertainties. There is hope that he may return to his former self, but we must also acknowledge the possibility that he may not. The reality is that his therapy sessions are exhausting, and he battles daily to stay awake and engaged in his recovery process.

Adding to the weight of this situation, JR has always been the sole provider for his family. The financial burdens of his medical care and rehabilitation are overwhelming, especially as he is unable to work during this critical time. Your generous contributions will go directly toward his ongoing care, therapy, and the necessary adjustments to his living situation, ensuring he and his family (Elena and Lilly) has the resources he needs to recover and thrive.
