Friends and family, 
     We are asking for your help and support for our son, brother, husband, father, and friend, Juan "Jr." Jaime.  As some of you know Jr. battled with COVID early this year. He was admitted to the hospital for some time and eventually released.  Two days later, Jr. was readmitted to the hospital with life threatening complications caused by the after effects from COVID.    He was put into a medically induced coma and on a ventilator.  His doctors performed a tracheotomy to help facilitate breathing. In addition, Jr. is on dialysis and in need of a kidney transplant due to kidney failure aggravated by COVID.  He is currently on the kidney transplant list to receive both a kidney and pancreas.  A dual transplant would allow the kidney to work longer and in best case cure him from diabetes. 
     Jr. will need to be transferred to an acute rehabilitation center that will help him build his strength, and learn to eat and talk with the trach.  Although the rehabilitation center is what's necessary for Jr.'s recovery, this is emotionally and financially difficult for Joni and Fernando as they are geographically separated from Jr. 
     All funds raised will go towards the kidney and pancreas transplant procedure, medical bills, and for any expenses his family incurs associated with Jr's recovery.  We believe in the power of prayer for we know that Jr. would not be here with us today if not for a miracle.
