JaQuavious Harris is a Cross Country and Track Athlete attempting to qualify for the Olympic Trials this September in the Marathon in Berlin, Germany. He is currently a Senior at Salt Lake Community College. In order to achieve success, he has long weeks. His schedule currently consists of running 110 miles a week, (about 20 miles a day, 6 days a week with the exception of taking Sundays off for recovery. JaQuavious Harris is also attending college full-time and working full-time. He is trying to salvage some funds to help support him while he goes to Germany. JaQuavious has been working and preparing for this huge event by training for long hours and racing. Fortunately, JaQuavious was able to salvage a win just 3 weeks ago in the Deseret News Half Marathon with a winning time of 1:05:04. JaQuavious also placed 3rd in the Fourth of July Freedom 10k just 2 weeks prior, right behind an Olympian and a current Olympic trials qualifier. He has been blessed to win an individual State Title Championship as well as a Team National Championship. After attempting to qualify for the Olympic Trials on September 24th, 2023 in Berlin, Germany, JaQuavious will prepare for an attempt to win an individual National Title in Cross Country just a few weeks afterward to wrap up his current season. JaQuavious hopes to be able to fundraise his trip to Germany to help him focus more on running with his work, school, and training schedule.
