Hi. I'm Joyce Hindman, and after a lot of thought, I'm thinking maybe some help would be good.

A lot of folks in various fandoms would know me perhaps as LionHeart Distribution, seller of zines and Bast Ravenshadow's publishing partner, for my four tables at Media West, or as the artist with the little boxes and jewelry and other fun beaded stuff in the art show. My friends know me as an author, artist, jewelry maker.

My family knows me as wife, sister, mom, mom-mom. I'm a senior citizen now (over 70), on social security after years on disability. My husband too, is an old lion slowing down.

This summer was a tough one. I needed rotator cuff repair on my dominant arm. Not being able to drive passed quickly and healing was moving along until I tripped over a grandson and broke the humerous bone near the shoulder. Yes, same side, and a bad break. No driving for six weeks. My son was able to take off work and help, BUT...

I'm now trying to cope with some medical bills. While insurance covered or negotiated most of it, the emergency surgery from the fall (I needed a plate put in) and physical therapy has run up a few thousand. With fixed incomes, and looking at increases in insurance premiums, food, etc and my husband's part time job having no work for two months now, we're uncertain how to pay these bills.

I know so many others are struggling, but anything would help.
