My name is Joyce Davis, and I have been battling Achalasia and Scleroderma for the past two years. My quality of life has changed due to my symptoms. The most difficult part is the inability to keep food down and the extreme weight loss. Scleroderma is affecting my skin, joints, heart, and other organs. Achalasia is affecting my ability to swallow properly. Symptoms include difficulty swallowing, food and liquid regurgitation, chest pain, and weight loss. Fighting for my life has been a high priority. Hospitals here in Missouri have done all they can do for me, and now I have been recommended to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Unfortunately, the six-hour trip is taking a toll on my body. And I can't always find someone who can take off work to drive me back and forth, so I am looking for accommodation to stay there in Minnesota for the duration of my treatment. This trip starts on September 15th, and I would need to be there until October 30th. Funds would help with my room and board, car payment, fuel, medical supplies, and bills.
