My name is Ambika, and I am reaching out to ask for your help for Joya Thapa Magar, a brave 7-year-old girl from Nepal who has been battling serious congenital heart disease since birth.

Joya was diagnosed with Pulmonary Atresia with VSD shortly after she was born. She underwent her first life-saving surgery as a newborn, but her heart condition remains very complex. Recently, her doctors at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Kathmandu confirmed that she now urgently needs advanced surgery — including Biventricular Repair (VSD closure, RV-PA conduit, MPA augmentation, and MAPCA coiling).

Unfortunately, this surgery cannot be done in Nepal. She has been referred to Fortis Hospital in Delhi, India, where specialists can give her the best chance at survival and recovery.

About Joya

Joya is full of life despite all her health struggles. She loves going to school and dreams of becoming a heart surgeon one day so she can help other children with heart problems and provide free treatment to those who cannot afford it. She also loves dancing and making TikTok videos, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around her. Her courage and positivity inspire all of us.
