We are reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of Joy Reid and her husband, Wallace. Wallace, a beloved husband, step-father, and friend, has been bravely battling dementia. Unfortunately, his condition has worsened, leading to his recent admission into hospice care. The doctors have indicated that he may not be with us much longer. This is a reality that Joy is facing with immense strength and love.

For years, Joy has been the cornerstone of support for Wallace, caring for him round-the-clock. This unwavering dedication has come at a personal cost, both emotionally and financially. With limited income and the exhaustive nature of caregiving, Joy has found herself in a challenging position as she is now thinking of plans for Wallace's eventual funeral.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to support Joy in raising $10,000 to cover the funeral expenses. This support will not only provide a dignified farewell for Wallace but will also allow Joy to take some necessary time off work to be with him at home for a while.
