I’ve always been the person who poured into others through food, community, and service. Asking for help has never come naturally to me.
For nearly 20 years, I experienced domestic violence in my marriage. A few months ago, after the most recent incident happened in front of my six-year-old daughter, I made the heartbreaking decision to leave.
Since then, we’ve been rebuilding our lives one day at a time.
After months of praying, searching, and trusting God, I’ve finally found a safe home for my daughter, Love, and me. It’s more than just a house- it’s a chance for us to begin again in peace.
The only obstacle is coming up with the remaining move-in costs before my deadline.
If you know me, you know I don’t like asking for help. My first instinct has always been to work harder, cook another meal, book another event, or figure it out on my own. But I’m learning that allowing people to help is part of healing, too.
If you feel led to contribute, no amount is too small. Every donation will go directly toward our move-in expenses and helping us create a safe, stable home as we start this new chapter.
If you’re in the Atlanta area and would rather support my business, I’d be honored to serve you. You can help by:
Booking a private chef experience
Ordering my weekly vegan meal prep
Hiring me for catering
Referring me to friends, family, or businesses looking for a vegan chef
Supporting my business is another meaningful way to help us move forward.
Whether you’re able to donate, book my services, share this fundraiser, or simply keep us in your prayers, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To everyone who has encouraged me, checked on me, shared my story, or reminded me that we’re not alone, thank you. You have given me strength on the days I needed it most.
This isn’t the end of our story.
It’s the beginning of a peaceful one.
With love,
Joy & Love
(Any funds raised beyond our immediate move-in expenses will go toward creating a stable home for Love and supporting our transition as we rebuild our lives.)
