My name is Nancy and my sister-in-law is Joy, and her name exudes exactly that! Joy! She is a ray of sunshine with the most positive attitude I have ever seen. She has 4 children who all have amazing spouses, who have blessed them with 4 beautiful grandchildren which are the light of her life!

Joy was recently diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2024 and at the exact same time her husband, Don, lost his job. In February 2025, Joy underwent a lumpectomy and was declared clean, only to be diagnosed again in June in both breasts, which left her with the only option of a double mastectomy. After surgery, she has begun a long road of chemotherapy, which will be followed by another long road of radiation and all of the terrible side effects that come with it—all of which they are doing without any insurance as a result of Don's unemployment.

Joy and Don know that their Lord and savior, Jesus Christ is watching over them and guiding them through this trial and they are keeping their heads high and their faith strong, regardless of everything that is against them.

This financial burden of medical expenses and daily living expenses is weighing heavily on them and their whole family. We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease these burdens and to provide financial support as they navigate through these unsettling times.
