Help Journey Walk Again
Donation protected
Dear family, friends and fellow dog lovers:
Last week while playing fetch our beloved fur baby Journey badly injured his left knee. His leg went into a gopher hole and he immediately collapsed. Since the accident our poor pup has been in a lot of pain and has not been able to walk or put any weight on his hurt leg. After X-rays, the vet diagnosed Journey with a torn cranial cruciate ligament (similar to an ACL in humans). We have been informed this type of injury does not heal on its own and Journey will be needing treatments such as physical therapy, orthopedics, x-rays, pain medications and likely an invasive surgery.
We are typically not ones to ask for this sort of help, but due to Covid we have fallen on hard times financially. The surgery alone is anywhere from $4-$6k. The vet said Journey now has a 50% chance of injuring the other leg now that one has gone lame. Anything you can contribute is immensely appreciated!
If you know us personally, you know that Journey means EVERYTHING to us. He is the light and joy of our world. We will do whatever it takes to ensure he receives the best veterinary help and can someday walk, run and play again!
Thank you so much for your prayers, love and support during this difficult time. Journey ruvs you all!
** In the chance we collect more funds than needed for Journey's medical bills, we plan to donate the remainder to Best Friends Animal Society - A "no kill" animal rescue organization: https://bestfriends.org
