Dear family, friends and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out during an incredibly difficult time for our family, as we seek support for Journey. Journey has faced unimaginable loss over the past few years. In addition to the recent passing of his beloved mother, Sharlene Edwards who passed away unexpectedly November 24, 2024 leaving a heartache that is beyond words, Journey also lost his father on March 31, 2021. These tragic events have left him navigating not only the overwhelming grief of losing both parents, but also the emotional and financial challenges that come with such profound loss. Journey is a bright 12 year old boy and determined young person, but the loss of both parents leave him facing not only emotional challenges but financial ones as well.

In the midst of this hardship, Journey is determined to continue his education in order to pursue both his and his mother’s future dreams of attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. His mother worked hard to support him every step of the way. Now, without her, we want to ensure he has the resources to move forward and create the future she would have wanted for him.
