Josue is such a kindhearted soul and has survived through the most traumatic experience of his life. 

Josue got diagnosed with COVID and was home until his symptoms began to get worse. On the 17th of Jan. I took him to the ER because he couldn’t breath on his own anymore. He had began to develop shortness of breath, elevated heart in the 180’s, and his oxygen status levels were in the low 60’s. They were not able to stabilize him and was admitted since he required to be on oxygen. He was placed on high flow oxygen devise , BIPAP, and CPAP but he couldn’t keep up with the demand his body required and quickly grew tired of breathing.

The team of  doctors decided the best thing to do for him was to intubate him. We were told there was a slim chance he would survive due to the severity but it was the last
thing to do. He was intubated for 6 days and taken care of in the ICU.

On day 6 he finally passed the spontaneous breathing trial and was successfully extubated and began breathing on his own which was a miracle.  He was still unconscious and remind so for a week.

Josue has finally woken up and is now home resting and recuperating. ♥️
