Update: we are at 8 weeks now in the hospital and with that have lost mine and my mom's income for all 8 of those weeks, and will continue to until Josie is home. Thank you to everyone who has helped so far. Please continue to share. Love you all.

Hello everyone! I am here asking for financial help for my family. My little sister, Josie has been back in the hospital for a week due to significant side effects of a seizure medication she is taking called phenobarbital. This is the 5th time in the last couple of months she has been in, every time causing my mom to lose her income. She was over medicated which caused a significant decline and slowing down of almost all bodily functions, including breathing. She lost her appetite, was very dehydrated, and could only walk with assistance. Most scary of all, her oxygen dipped extremely low even when she was awake, which is not typical for Jojo. Josie has now been placed on palliative care by her neurologist, in hopes that it will open more doors for Jos. We know she will be in for at least a few more weeks. They will be transferring her to Gillette's for rehabilitation, but they cannot even send in that referral until she is awake enough to be able to participate in therapy. She is being slowly weaned off of phenobarbital, however, they cannot go too fast because that could cause a major seizure storm. With the loss of my mom's (Cathy's) income while Josie is in the hospital, they need any financial help they can get for medical bills as well as other bills.
