Help Josie Williams Lay Speedo to Rest

Hi everyone.

My name is Carol Abney and I live in Clay County, TN. I’m starting this GoFundMe for my friend, Josie Williams. Josie’s husband, Danny ‘Speedo’ Williams, has passed on, and I want to help Josie in her and her family’s time of grief.

The first time I remember meeting Josie, I was around 6 years old, and she was working at Osh Kosh in the laundry department. Her glowing smile and loud laughter is all I can remember—she made an exceptional impression on me as a child. Josie has always been a joy to be around—you just cannot help but love her. Her smile and laughter are always contagious and welcome. Speedo and Josie are both excellent cooks and owned Speedo’s Fish To Go. For the last several years, Speedo would stop by our garage and always brought his fried catfish, gator bites, chips, or candy to share, hang out, and talk cars. Speedo always had a smile, a joke, and something to share.

Josie Williams has worked multiple jobs ever since I’ve known her—for over 40 years. She is the resourceful matriarch of her family, and she always made sure that everyone around her was taken care of, so I’d like to make sure that she is taken care of now during her time of grief- Josie’s sister also passed away in the last couple of weeks. Josie and Speedo would both give you the shirt off their back if that’s what you needed, and I’m hoping that my friends will help me return the favor.

Please help Josie lay Speedo to rest without having to worry about how to pay for the funeral arrangements. I don’t know anyone that deserves this help more than Josie. ❤️
