Help Josie Bree Overcome Lyme Disease Complications Hardship

Hello, my name is Kathleen Peterson and I am raising funds for my daughter, Josie Bree, who has recently found herself in very unfortunate financial hardship. Several years ago, she was bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme Disease. Since then, she has lived with increasing symptoms of extreme lethargy and pain, worsened by a Covid infection at the beginning of last year. By the summer, she was unable to continue working, and was forced to take a leave of absence, which eventually led to her losing her job. Her savings have been depleted and she is currently in a waiting period to resolve an appeal for a long term disability insurance plan purchased from her previous employer and/or to be granted Social Security Disability.

The illness severely affects her nervous system, causing her to be extremely fatigued, nauseated, dizzy, nauseous, in pain, and unable to do normal daily tasks. Josie has a great medical team who is working on stabilizing her condition and therapists who are helping her understand and manage her symptoms, but her bills are piling up and she could soon lose the roof over her head. If this were to happen, she would suffer a great setback to her recovery.

Josie has worked hard all of her life, beginning when she was 15 years old. She excelled in school and in every business she has been associated with. She has also given back to the community, working with charities like Habitat for Humanity and the American Cancer Society. She lives in rural North Carolina in a county that has very very limited social services and help for people in her position. I humbly ask for your help on her behalf.
