My name is Josie, and this summer I have the chance to attend Sumer Camp in Texas, a place that offers archery, horseback riding, fishing, and a true old-fashioned camp experience with no phones, right on a beautiful lake. My parents put me in charge of raising money to go so I'm selling French meringue cookies locally and asking some family members if they can pitch in as well as this gofundme. I believe this could be an amazing opportunity for me.

As someone who is homeschooled, I’ve had many cool experiences that other kids might not have had, but I’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to have a more traditional summer camp adventure. I’m already a pro at fishing and I've done some horseback riding, but I’ve never tried archery before and I’m really excited to learn. This camp is special because it’s all about making friends, learning new skills, and exploring the world in a safe and supportive environment. I think this will be a huge growth experience for me to be away from my family for an extended period of time.
