Josiah is full of life and enjoys the love and laughter of his family. Josiah lives with his father, grandmother, and other family members. He is the only child in the home and is a light and joy to the household.

Without previous signs, Josiah was recently diagnosed with a type of cancer, formally stated as: tumor, paratesticular, left, radical orchiectomy: unclassified sarcoma with epithelioid and spindle cell features, high-grade.

These words were unexpected and not easily understood, however require immediate medical intervention. Thankfully, a medical care / treatment plan was created in a timely manner and Josiah's family made prompt adjustments to ensure he is able to travel to his appointments with specialists (approx. 90 minutes to 2 hours away from home). The family does not have a vehicle and is exhausting resources to make these trips multiple times within a month (sometimes multiple times in a week).

Donations to Josiah's treatment and recovery will assist with transportation expenses, medical care, and other things Josiah needs throughout this difficult time.

Despite everything which has transpired, Josiah keeps smiling and uplifting his family members.

Josiah, a 13-year-old young man of integrity, has brought immense joy and laughter to countless individuals.

Josiah cherishes his family and friends. When his school community learned of his cancer diagnosis, we were all devastated.

Despite this challenging news, Josiah has remained steadfast in his positive outlook on life. He has embraced the situation with resilience and grace, shining through in this difficult time.

If you know Josiah, you understand the significance of his family and friends to him. He often speaks of them and would likely invite you to play a game of UNO with him. He also loves discussing Pokémon, Beyblades, and Volleyball.

As his teacher, I must say that Josiah has been an inspiration to me, even before his cancer diagnosis. With 45 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, Josiah stands out as one of the greatest individuals I have ever known.

As we learned of his diagnosis and treatment options, it has been truly inspiring to witness the community come together in support of Josiah and his family.
