Hi. My name is Josiah Reid. I am 13 years old and I'm honored to have been selected to represent the USA in the United World Games this summer (2024) in Europe. I will be playing in the 14U Basketball division.

In order to make this trip a reality, I need your help. I am requesting your support in order to raise $5,600 to cover my portion of the trip expenses. This includes flights, hotel, ground transportation, meals, uniform among other expenses.

I will have the opportunity to travel to Austria, Germany and Italy with other players from across the country in international basketball competition with PhD Hoops Travel Tours Program.

This experience will allow me to develop new relationships, gain significant cultural education that will last a lifetime and compete at a high level of basketball. Out of a pool of applicants, I was chosen for my playing ability, character and desire to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience.

Playing basketball has taught me the value of hard work, discipline and good sportsmanship both on and off the court and also in school. It has taught me grace during the tough losses and humility during the big wins. It helps me to recognize that how I choose to handle winning, losing, success, failure, pressure and adversity is a reflection of my character and my desire to bring honor to God.
