Help Josiah Phillip’s Family

Hey folks, if your reading this you most likely have seen the Facebook post about Josiah having a bad run in with a used car dealer. While we wanted to use that platform to make others aware of the shady dealership it hasn’t done anything to actually help the issue of Josiah now having a worthless broken truck and not being able to use it to get to work. If you know the Phillips family you know they are some of the most stand up people around. I have been blessed with knowing them since birth and while Josiah would never ask for money, it would help them out in this situation. If half of everyone that shared this post would donate $20 we could not only get him a new motor, we may be able to get him a new truck. Thanks so much for your support! -Ryan Hutto

I paid my savings of $9,000 down with 30days to pay $1500 for this truck at Garrisons used cars in Tupelo…on a Friday.

I did NOT get back to Starkville, before I started loosing oil pressure.

Walker Garrison had assured me that the engine ran great and the truck had no problems.

I took the truck to two of the best auto repair shops in Starkville and both mechanics said the truck needed a new engine, that there was no way they didn’t know the engine was bad, and that they knew what they were doing when they sold it to me.

I called back first thing Monday morning when they opened and told Walker…

he said that his dad’s only offer was to forgo the last 1500 and take a $9,000 cash loss…

or I could pay them extra for his mechanic to put a new motor in…which is crazy because I don’t trust them at all at this point.

I told them I didn’t have any more cash for an engine replacement…

…Mr. Garrison said he hated it happened but he wasn’t going to take the loss and told me if I didn’t like it I could get a lawyer.

I understand that I signed a no warranty agreement but these Garrisons ASSURED ME it was a good truck…

gave me his word the truck was great…

AND IT DID NOT EVEN GET ME HOME before it lost oil pressure and needed an engine replacement.

I’m asking you to share this until they offer to refund my savings so I can buy something that will get me to work.
