Help Joshua Rebuild After Hurricane Helen's Flood

Hello, we are Joshua's family (Blair is his sister-in-law and Maddie is his youngest sister).

Hurricane Helen recently came through and wrecked Appalachia. The water rushed historically high and left much of our region unprepared for what was to come. At the point the river surged about 10:30 am on September 25, it was climbing about 5’ per minute. Josh was able to save a half a bag of clothes, his business files folder, a small bag of medicines, his cat, and his dog. Besides that, Josh lost everything. He was renting the tiny home from his brother Jason (and me), which the river took away in a matter of 28 minutes. In 28 minutes, water had crested the ledge of the embankment and swiftly picked up the tiny house and took everything he had down the river. We are lucky to have made it out alive, but Josh will need to rebuild everything. Additionally, Josh lost his dump trailer, which was a main stream of revenue for him. I'd like to note we were out of the 500-year flood zone. Everything on our property was out of the 500-year flood zone (except the duck house).
