Joshua, known to many as Panda or Katoph, has always been someone who faces challenges head-on. For years, he’s managed Type 2 diabetes and kidney disease, but recently, life took a difficult turn. Joshua lost his left leg to an above-the-knee amputation and is now living in a rehabilitation hospital, working every day to relearn how to move and regain his independence. Despite chronic back pain and neuropathy, he’s determined to get back home to his beloved cat, Puck, and his PC, Maurice.
Living on SSI makes it nearly impossible to cover the costs of a life-changing surgery, a long hospital stay, and the adjustments needed for independent living. Joshua needs help with several major hurdles: repairing the ramp at his trailer to make it safe, installing a cement slab for accessible parking, and adding hand controls to a vehicle so he can drive again. There are also ongoing medical and rehab expenses that insurance doesn’t fully cover, as well as everyday bills that need to be paid while he’s in the hospital.
More than anything, Joshua wants to return to his home and community, to live life on his own terms again. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser will help him overcome these obstacles and start the next chapter of his life. Thank you for standing by Joshua and showing him he’s not alone.
