Joshua passed all his nursing exams but still needs support to pay his final tuition and graduation fees. Let’s help him take this last step toward his dream.

My name is Neal Moerman, a young doctor & pediatric resident.

During my visit to Kilembe Mines Hospital in Uganda, I had the privilege of meeting & working alongside Joshua, a nursing student in his final year.

During our ward rounds I was quickly struck by his curiosity, clinical insight, and eagerness to learn. He consistently sought feedback, asked thoughtful questions, and applied new knowledge immediately in patient care. In this way I too learned a lot from Joshua.

Joshua has now passed all his medical exams with excellent results and is ready to graduate this December. Unfortunately, his school is still holding his results until he can pay his remaining tuition and graduation fees, a total of $1300, before the end of November. His family was already able to gather a small amount but he needs your support!

I truly believe that motivated and compassionate people like Joshua have the potential to make a real difference in Ugandan healthcare, especially in rural hospitals like Kilembe.

Joshua is geslaagd voor al zijn verpleegkunde-examens, maar heeft nog steun nodig om zijn resterend studiegeld en inschrijvingskosten voor de proclamatie te kunnen betalen. Help hem om deze laatste stap naar zijn droom te zetten.

Mijn naam is Neal Moerman, kinderarts in opleiding.

Tijdens mijn bezoek aan het Kilembe Mines Hospital in Oeganda had ik het voorrecht om Joshua te ontmoeten en met hem samen te werken. Hij is een laatstejaarsstudent verpleegkunde.

Tijdens onze rondes in op de ziekenhuisafdeling, viel mij meteen op dat hij heel wat klinisch inzicht heeft. Joshua is nieuwsgierig, leergierig en empathisch. Hij vroeg regelmatig feedback, stelde doordachte vragen en paste nieuwe kennis onmiddellijk toe bij patiënten. Op die manier heb ik zelf ook veel van Joshua geleerd.

Joshua is inmiddels geslaagd voor al zijn examens met uitstekende resultaten en klaar om in december af te studeren. Helaas houdt zijn school zijn diploma nog bij tot hij het resterende studiegeld en de afstudeerkosten kan betalen — in totaal $1300. Zijn familie heeft al een deel bijeen kunnen brengen, maar hij heeft jouw support nodig om zijn diploma te ontvangen voor het einde van november.

Ik geloof oprecht dat gemotiveerde en meelevende mensen zoals Joshua een verschil kunnen maken in de gezondheidszorg in Oeganda & in de community van het Kilembe Mines Hospital.
