Help Joshua Get Back on Track to Vermont for his Externship
Donation protected

I am the mother of three amazing grown children. My youngest, Joshua, is trying to put his life on track after the loss of my husband to suicide. Josh worked with his dad (primarily) from the time he was 12 and is a talented handyman/carpenter, but after the years of trials with his dad, staying in that direction and working as a carpenter was not in his heart. Josh decided to take a new role and become a chef. He was accepted at the Culinary Institute of America and just finished his first year. Part of the degree is to complete a 14-week externship. Josh landed this at a farm in Vermont and was on his way there from California when his car broke down near Cheyenne, Wyoming. He threw a rod in the Volvo, and it needs a new engine. He thankfully has found a wonderful mechanic that can possibly put a new one in, but we will not know for a few days. Time is also of the essence. If this cannot be done quickly, or if it does not make sense to invest the money, then he will have to purchase a used car Cheyenne. I am thankful that I was able to help him get some repairs done before he left, but I cannot afford to help now. I’m thankful to the family and friends that have helped already throughout this year, but it is with much humility that I have to ask for more help. Josh has worked really hard to get his mental state healthy, and these challenges are making it so difficult for him. If you have it in your heart to help and if you can afford it, I would be forever grateful.
