Hi, my name is Lena Wall, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my cousin Lena Fehr Blatz and her little boy, Joshua.
Joshua is only 2 years old and has been diagnosed with heart failure. His heart is too weak and too enlarged to pump enough blood on its own. Right now, he relies on medication to keep his heart strong enough to function, but the journey ahead is uncertain and deeply challenging.
Lena has been by his side every step of the way, but the medical bills and travel expenses are quickly adding up. From frequent hospital visits to specialized treatments, the costs are overwhelming for one family to carry alone. Lena and her husband noticed something wasn’t right with Joshua. So they went to Denver City to the health clinic and Doctors quickly realized his condition was serious and sent him to Lubbock for further care. From there, Lena and Joshua were flown by emergency transport to Houston, where specialists confirmed the heartbreaking diagnosis: Joshua is suffering from heart failure. the hope is that this treatment will be enough to avoid a heart transplant.
Lena has not left his side since the very beginning. His dad joined them later in Houston, and their four other children have been staying with their grandparents. While the family is incredibly grateful for the support they’ve had, it has been an extremely difficult and emotional few weeks for everyone involved.
We’re asking for help to raise $7,000 to help ease the financial burden they are facing. The funds will go toward:
Uncovered medical expenses
Travel costs related to emergency transport and ongoing appointments
Basic support for the family during this time of crisis
Joshua is a brave little fighter with a sweet smile and a strong spirit. We believe in his strength, but he and his family need a community to lift them up right now.
Please consider donating — any amount makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your prayers, kindness, and support. ❤️
