Hi, My name is Bohdanna and I am supporting a lovely family whom I have known a long time. This go fund me is for Joshua: who is in grade 7. He is an amazing young man, who has both a diagnosis of autism, as well as Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy https://www.mda.org/disease/duchenne-muscular-dystrophy. 4 years ago Joshua began using a wheelchair full time. He is a young man who loves to explore and be with family and friends. This has become more difficult due to the constraints of being in and out of a wheelchair when travelling. A wheelchair van would allow Joshua to travel 'in' his chair, therefore have the ability to not have to be moved from seat to wheelchair. As he has grown this causes both him, and family members much stress. We always wish for his safety and humility. His family prays for his constant healing and to have the opportunity to walk again. However for now, the desire is for his independence and for the ability to be like any other 13 year old. Vans are very expensive and without our support, Joshua may not get the chance to engage in many opportunities that allow for easy transfer.
