Help Josh with Mobility and a Rebound.

9 years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. For a long while I suffered from intermittent symptoms. Then, my symptoms became more plentiful. Many became constant and permanent. 2 years ago my "relapsing" MS was re-diagnosed as "progressive." Progressive it has been. I am no longer able to physically do many of the things I once was, things a man of my age should. I am often forced to decline to participate in activities I once enjoyed. In addition to the physical effects, MS has also greatly effected my cognitive abilities. I found myself no longer able to perform the work that I have done for 30 straight years of this life. Earlier this year I made the difficult decision to stop working. It has been tough to say the least. This has meant that my family has lost well over half of our household income. I have even had to cancel my health insurance and am forced to pay for healthcare and monthly prescriptions out of pocket. My spouse continues to work full-time, but the income is simply not enough to fully support and meet the needs and financial obligations of this family of three. While I have begun the process of seeking assistance via SSDI, the process is not friendly or prompt. I have been promised AT LEAST another year before there is even a CHANCE I may be granted some relief through the program. The income loss has taken and will continue to take a toll.
Additionally, it has come time to plan for a better way to get around. I have a very difficult time moving my legs now and this will only continue to progress. I desperately want to enjoy activities with my family that my disease tries to prohibit. I want to continue enjoying these activities and have the ability to get around when my legs inevitably fail me completely. So, I wish to purchase a power wheelchair to aid in my mobility. Along with the chair, I must plan for the building of an accessibility ramp on my home and the necessary equipment/modifications needed to transport the chair on our vehicle. The chair and project are very costly. We cannot realistically afford to pursue these needed items without the help of others.
So, I am reaching out for help in the form of any financial assistance anyone is able and willing to offer.
I am seeking to recover some of the lost income over the past several months and months to come. Furthermore, I am seeking donations to assist in the purchase of a reliable power wheelchair.
If you can, please help me gain Mobility and a Financial Rebound.

Thank you.
