Help Josh survive long-COVID

Hi. I'm fundraising for Josh Wenger, a true stand up guy who is caught in a really bad position. In December, he contracted COVID at his workplace. He was out for a couple weeks and when he had to return to work, he realized his symptoms had not begun to improve. Since then, it's been a battle of COVID longhauler with numerous (unhelpful) doctors appointments, months of missing work, bad flare ups, and sickness. He was unable to continue working his job and eventually got let go. He applied for short term disability which was pending for months, and today he finally heard back from them that "the medical evidence we have on file does not support a disability, therefore, your request for Short Term Disability benefits will be denied." It's a shitty system because there's COVID is so new and there's nothing in place to help people like Josh. He also got denied unemployment because he applied for short term disability and is therefore too sick to work.

 

Josh's main symptoms are body aches, headaches, nausea, sweating, limb tingling, shortness of breath, lack of sleep, and terrible brain fog. All of these symptoms get worse with stress and you can imagine, it's been a stressful time.

 

If you know Josh, you know he deserves better. He's probably fixed one or 15 of your things, done a light show for you, taken a hot photo of you, or given you practical advice, or listened to your problems, or bought you a shot when he was broke. He needs our help now to be able to pay his rent, bills, buy some food, you know... all the life stuff. Josh is applying for remote/easygoing jobs that he can manage with his symptoms, has sold a lot of his belongings, and has done all he can to fight for the short term disability. Please help a brother out! Anything helps and PLEASE SHARE! There is nothing in place for everyone in this country dealing with this right now, and the least we can do is share some cash.
