My name is Jake Steele and I represent the Steele Family and friends fighting for Josh Steele. At age 54, Josh has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. This has spread into lymph nodes and spinal bones and discovered on a surprise visit to the ER because of some ongoing back pain.

A little about Josh. He's a Dad to 5 kids (Isaiah, Ira, Jude, Jack and Kadie) and soon to be husband to BJ Atkinson. Josh lives in a little town outside of Walhalla South Caroline and although he was born in Utah you wouldn't know it based on the thickest of SC accents. He wears that accent with pride. South Carolina is where he was alway meant to be. Josh coached club soccer for years, taught High School English and has dabbled in just about everything, most recently masonry, where he prides himself on an artistically designed patio.

Josh's loves are his soon to be wife, his kids, a good book, a conversation about philosophy, more conversation about anything sports, and a disc golf course. Although short in stature Josh can whip that disc further than any giant of a man. Josh is the funniest person in any room. He's a character, but the best kind. He gives the best hugs and when he says "I love ya" you know he means it.

Josh is our brother, Dad, husband, son, uncle, nephew, and friend. We are asking for your help to raise funds to support him, his family, and their financial needs while he's going through chemo and trying to beat this cancer. Josh won't be able to work during his treatments so that income will be lost.

Our ultimate financial goal is $30, 000.00. But our first goal is $16,000.00. This will cover the first few months of house payments, utilities, day to day needs and medical bills. Every dollar help. Like most cancers, this was very unexpected and anything you can donate to lighten the load of Josh and his family would be so appreciated.
