Help Josh Save His Best Friend, Luna ❤️
If you know my brother, Josh Szabo, you already know the kind of person he is. Many people recognize him from Sobeys, always greeting others with kindness, a smile, and a helping hand. Josh is the type of person who would truly give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need—no questions asked.
Today, it’s Josh who needs our help.
Yesterday, Josh’s world flipped upside down when his beloved dog and best friend, Luna, suddenly lost the use of her back legs. Within hours, his playful, energetic girl could no longer stand. After rushing her to the vet, he received the devastating diagnosis: IVDD—a slipped disc pressing on her spinal cord, leaving her unable to walk.
Luna is only four years old. She is Josh’s shadow, his sidekick, his comfort, and his family. And despite this heartbreaking diagnosis, there is hope. There is a surgery with a 90% success rate that could give Luna her mobility—and her life back.
But there’s a challenge:
The surgery can only be performed in Saskatoon, and the cost is estimated between $5,000–$8,000—an overwhelming amount for anyone to face suddenly.
Josh would never ask for help for himself, but he would do anything for Luna. And so, we’re asking on his behalf. ❤️
Every dollar helps bring Luna one step closer to walking, playing, and living the joyful life she deserves. If you’re able to donate, share, or simply send your love and encouragement, it would mean the world to Josh and to everyone who cares about this sweet girl.
Thank you for taking the time to read Luna’s story, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping Josh fight for his best friend.
Let’s help bring Luna back on her feet.
