Help Josh recover from GBS

Hi, my name is Alanna, and I am fundraising for myself, Josh and Livia. We were enjoying our first summer with Livia, our now 9-month old when Josh unexpectedly got sick. Josh was in and out of the hospital starting at the beginning of August, with some very alarming symptoms. We spent 3 weeks not knowing what was happening which was extremely scary and stressful for Josh and his whole family. After lots of doctors and lots of tests, Josh was admitted to the hospital on August 19 with the diagnosis of GBS. GBS is a rare neurological disorder in which a person’s immune system mistakenly attacks part of their peripheral nervous system. As time went on Josh lost all function of both arms and legs, his face muscles and could no longer breathe on his own. Josh is such a strong man and is in recovery at The Ottawa hospital rehabilitation centre, but it is a long road ahead. We are asking for any donations to help us along the road as Josh gets better in rehab and I raise Livia at home. Thankyou everybody for the support we have and will receive.
