Help Josh Recover After Fireworks Explosion

Donation protected
In February our mate Josh was celebrating his partner's birthday while spending the weekend at Coonarr Beach in Queensland. Someone had brought along fireworks and unfortunately as Josh bent down to light the fuse on a boxed firework, it immediately exploded in his face resulting in devastating injuries.

Josh was rushed to Bundaberg Hospital and then flown to Brisbane the next morning for surgery. One of Josh’s eyes was damaged beyond repair and the other was damaged with the hope that eventually he may recover some vision.

After multiple surgeries, the specialists have found further damage in his left eye and have classed him as legally blind with little hope of recovering any vision.

Josh is a full-time builder and understandably will not be able to return to work. His partner, Reena, is a nail technician. She has a small business and has had to reduce her hours significantly to help care for Josh. As you can imagine, this accident has caused a great amount of financial stress for this young family.

Josh is a very loved partner, son, mate, brother and father to his two daughters, Lylah, 7, and Remi, 7 months.

We have created this go fund me to help ease the financial stress of life while Josh, Reena and the girls adjust to their new normal. Any donations received will go towards their bills and medical expenses. Your help is greatly appreciated.
