Josh and Rachel’s lives were turned upside down when a strong Christmas Eve storm caused a tree to fall onto their Bamboo Sourcery apartment of 30 years, destroying the building and many of their personal belongings. In a matter of moments, they lost not only their home, but also the sense of safety and stability built over decades.

They are currently living in a temporary trailer, which they have access to for the next three months, while they try to determine what comes next. Unfortunately, the damage to their home was so severe that returning is not an option. They now face the overwhelming challenge of securing replacement living space and rebuilding their lives.

This situation is especially difficult because Josh is currently undergoing cancer treatment following surgery with life-threatening complications. The physical, emotional, and financial strain of medical care—combined with the sudden loss of their home—has taken a serious toll on both Josh and Rachael. They are both experiencing stress-related illnesses on top of everything else, making an already painful situation even harder to bear.

Despite all they are facing, Josh and Rachael are doing their best to stay strong. However, they cannot do this alone.
