Josh is a devoted father and son who has always done everything he can to care for his family. On Friday, February 20, his brother Justin died suddenly and unexpectedly, and with him, the entire caregiving system that held their household together.

Justin was not only a beloved brother and son, but he was also a primary caregiver for Josh’s six year old daughter, who has spastic cerebral palsy, and their elderly mother, who is wheelchair bound, visually impaired from diabetes, and requires round-the-clock care. He managed daily routines, medical appointments, meals, and the constant support they both needed.

Now he is gone.

This is not only a heartbreaking emotional loss, but it is also the sudden collapse of an entire caregiving system that three people depended on every single day.

Josh has had to stop working to care for his daughter and mother full-time. He urgently needs to hire professional caregiving support while also covering household expenses that were previously sustained through family cooperation. He has even had to postpone his own medically necessary hernia surgery because there is no one else to step in.

This devastating loss, the shock of losing a third brother, has left the family grieving while facing an immediate financial and caregiving crisis.

Our first goal is to raise $5,000 to secure emergency caregiving for the next month.

We are raising $50,000 to help cover one year of essential living expenses and to build a safe, stable caregiving support team so Josh can keep his family cared for and begin to rebuild.
