Help Josh Patzer and Sarah Crawford - Flood Damage

Josh Patzer and Sarah Crawford were hit hard by Tropical Storm Chantal with their townhome taking in over 3’ of flash flood water. The whole first floor was ruined and needs to be entirely gutted. They also lost all of their furniture. Unfortunately, homeowners insurance doesn’t cover any flood damage. Their best guess on costs is $10,000 to make their townhome livable again. In order to save costs, they plan to do most of the work themselves. However, appliances, cabinets, wallboard, etc., along with all furniture, need to be replaced.

Josh and Sarah are recently engaged and have been talking about how to pay for a wedding and planning for the future. Josh works as a technician at Orange County Water and Sewer and Sarah takes claims statements at a car insurance company. Unfortunately, the devastation from this storm will set them back. All of their friends and family have been amazing in helping with the initial cleanup and demolition, but there’s so much more to be done.
