On Monday, Jun 28, 2021, I received a call that a tree had fallen on my dad’s house and my brother (Josh) had been shot. Not knowing much more than that, I rushed to my dad/brother’s house to find the street blocked off by law enforcement and emergency personnel. I quickly learned that a firefighter, and my brother were both shot. Realizing there was nothing I could do there, I left and met my mom at the hospital where we waited to hear about my brother. My heart broke as I watched my mom’s face filled with worry, and no one could give her a status about her son. Finally security was able to help locate Josh in the ER and we were allowed back to see him. He was shot in his arm and his back, but he was alive.

Josh has nerve damage that will require physical therapy. He will hopefully regain all function and feeling. He is a supervisor with a local landscaping company but unfortunately, he has not been able to return to work so I have created this fundraiser to help with bills and medical expenses.
