Help Josh Heal and Support His Family
Donation protected
On May 14th josh was helping unload pallets of privacy fencing (6x8 panels). While hoisted in the air, the strap holding the pallet of fencing broke and the panels fell hitting Josh in the face and knocking him down and back several feet and landed on top of him. Josh was knocked unconscious and sustained injuries to his face and body. He was transported from Whitwell, Tn to Chattanooga, Tn to Erlanger hospital by ambulance. After being released from the hospital, josh was informed he needed to follow up with several doctors; an oral surgeon, a neurologist, an orthopedic doctor and his primary doctor. Josh was then sent back to the hospital for severe swelling and pain in the left side of his face and head. At the er it was determined that there were further injuries that weren’t originally seen due to the amount of swelling at the time of the accident.
Josh is a full time police officer locally, and runs a side business doing dirt work, which is where he was injured. One of the referrals was to an oral surgeon, after several visits it’s been determined that the damage sustained during the accident was 5 teeth total are broken, and multiple teeth are loose or crooked. Due to the extent of this, the oral surgeon says the best and easiest solution would be to pull those effected teeth next week, and then schedule another appointment to remove the remaining top teeth and place a denture. Joshs insurance coverage only pay about 20% of the cost. Josh will have future appointments to address the other injuries as well.
Josh has missed work from both jobs during this time due to his injuries, and his wife Tonnie has also missed work to help care for him. Josh and Tonnie have 4 children, and this has not been easy on them. Between missed work, regular bills, co pays and now added medical bills, things are adding up quicker than they can handle. We understand if you are not able to donate, please pray and share.
