Hi everyone!
I just wanted to share a quick heads-up - this GoFundMe is being lovingly managed by my amazing cousin in Canada, who's helping me keep everything organized. I’m Josh, and I’m currently in the Philippines, fighting the toughest battle of my life with hope in my heart and faith in the kindness of others.
In February last year, I was hit with the devastating news: Stage 4 Burkitt’s Lymphoma - a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Since then, life has been a whirlwind of hospital rooms, long chemo cycles, and countless moments of pain, fear, and deep reflection. Each round of treatment lasts about 28 days, followed by weeks of recovery in the hospital. It’s been exhausting, but I’m still here - still fighting.
Losing my job due to my condition was another heavy blow. With the constant hospital stays and recovery time, working became impossible. Over the past year, I’ve used up all my savings, and my family has done everything they can to keep me going. But now, we’re at a point where we can’t do it alone anymore.
Cancer treatment in the Philippines is extremely expensive, and access to affordable healthcare is limited. Every scan, every lab test, every dose of chemo is a challenge to afford - but I’m not giving up. I refuse to give up.
I still dream of healing. I still dream of helping others. I want to live a full, purpose-driven life - not just for myself, but to be a light for others facing their own battles. And that’s why I’m reaching out, humbly asking for your support.
Whether it’s through a donation, a share, or even just keeping me in your thoughts - it all helps more than you know. Every little bit counts. Every kind gesture fuels my strength.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with me in this fight. I believe in better days ahead - and with your help, I know I’ll get there.
With love, strength, and hope,
Josh
