On September 8th, 2025, our world was flipped upside down at the news of a beloved son, cousin, and friend, Joshua Soden, who was involved in a tragic accident and is now in the ICU at Albany Med fighting for his life.

Josh was struck by a vehicle, pinned underneath, and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Firefighters and paramedics saved his life that night, but Josh has since endured two cardiac arrests and remains unconscious on life support. He is too unstable even for an MRI, and doctors have warned his family to prepare for the worst as they continue doing everything they can for him.

Josh is so much more than this tragedy — he is pure light. His laugh is contagious, the kind that makes everyone join in even when they don’t know the joke. He’s the guy who always notices when someone’s having a hard day and goes out of his way to lift them up. He has a heart big enough to hold everyone he loves and a spirit that has touched countless lives.

Josh has always been the first to give, to comfort, and to show up without being asked. Now, when he can’t fight on his own, it’s our turn to fight for him.

His parents and loved ones are facing an unthinkable reality — long days and nights at the hospital, medical bills, travel expenses, and time away from work, all while clinging to hope that Josh will come back to us.
