I am making this go fund me for a very special person named Josh, I previously made a go fund me for him a few months back when he first got his cancer diagnosis & it helped out tremendously but he is in a really tough spot now.
If you don’t know, Josh got diagnosed with Diffused Large B-Cell Lymphoma back in march. His treatment plan was 6 rounds of aggressive chemo, after the 2nd round of chemo he received his PET scan in April & got good news that the tumor was basically gone. Fast forward to today 9/6/24 he got his last PET scan & got the news nobody wants to hear. The cancer came back. Now he is having to go through more procedures to make sure it’s the same type of cancer, & then start another chemo regimen to make sure the cancer doesn’t spread. They are wanting to start him on an Immunotherapy called CAR-T.
CAR T cell therapy involves collecting a patient's T cells, genetically modifying them in a lab, and then infusing them back into the patient. The genetically modified T cells, or CAR T cells, are designed to recognize and destroy antigens on the surface of lymphoma cells.
The only problem with this treatment is it’s VERY expensive & he still is having trouble getting medicaid to approve him while still being out of work. Josh is the strongest & most caring person i know, but having to restart from the beginning of this journey is such a defeating feeling. We are devastated to hear this news, & so I am making this to seek help for him to help pay any bills & medical procedures he needs.
