Help Josh BEAT stage 4 cancer
Donation protected
On September 28, 1999, 16-year-old Joshua was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML). Joshua was deemed in remission six months following treatment through an aggressive chemotherapy protocol and bone-marrow transplant (from his mother) administered at U of M Ann Arbor. To this day, his faith has never wavered. The fight against Leukemia that burned so strongly 23 years ago has rekindled for the ultimate battle.
As several concerned friends urged him, Joshua made doctor's appointments for ongoing abdominal issues. The test results revealed that he is now facing Stage 4 colorectal cancer. He will undergo chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and immunotherapy in the upcoming months. Josh's first surgery is currently scheduled for September 26, with chemo beginning 2 weeks later. Doctors have told him that they "do not treat to cure stage 4 cancer, that they treat to prolong life as much as possible along with the quality of life," to which he humbly replied, "My God says differently though."
One of the best, most kind-hearted, creative, optimistic individuals that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting is getting ready to put up the fight of a lifetime for a second time. We hope to rally the community surrounding him to help relieve some financial stress during this period of his life.
We are asking for any help that you may be able to offer to help Josh with this challenging journey that he is about to embark on. Even if you cannot contribute financially, your prayers and shares are greatly appreciated.
