Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
Stacia, Josh and Avery Ashe helplessly watched as Hurricane Helene rushed into their home and swept everything away from them. Years of collecting sentimental memorabilia from family and moments in time from all corners they have traveled to in their lives as a military family and all of their valuables were suddenly submerged and destroyed. Stacia, Josh and their 11-year-old son Avery (along with their pets) tried kayaking to safety, but by the time they got to their vehicles (which they had parked on higher ground!) were completely underwater.
Stacia is a small business owner and a homeschool mom and Josh owns a small business as a home remodel/repair professional.
Insurance will not come close to covering the losses they are facing right now. Not only was everything inside their home and the vehicles completely destroyed, but they also lost all of the tools and machinery Josh uses for his livelihood.
We are reaching out on behalf of this incredible family because Josh and Stacia are the people who show up for every person around them, every single time. They are selfless and giving, and they would never begin to dream of asking for help like this for themselves. One of the largest struggles they are both internally facing right now is the inability to help others in this dire time of need in our beautiful Sunshine City.
I know SO many people were impacted by this storm; it is truly devastating. This is a cry for help for the Ashes. If you have anything additional to give or spare to help these amazing people as they put one foot in front of the other and literally rebuild from the start, it would be more than greatly appreciated and supremely helpful. This money will be used to get them into a home as well as rebuild their lives and their businesses.
THANK YOU for anything you can donate at this time! Please send good vibes and keep them in your thoughts. Much love.
