Help Josh and Scarlett in this heartbreaking situation
Donation protected
I have created this fundraiser for my little brother Josh to raise some funds to lighten his situation a little bit in such a heartbreaking time.
If you don’t know Josh or his daughter Scarlett medical situation, Here’s an update.
Scarlett has just turned 5 and recently in December had an ultrasound to determine the course of her ongoing stomach ache. The ultrasound results was a 14cm tumor on one of her kidneys. Further testing at the Monash Children’s Hospital detected that the tumour was cancerous and had spread to her chest and lungs.
Scarlett was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive Wilms Tumour and went through intensive chemotherapy for 6-7 weeks in hope to shrink the tumour so then Scarlett can be operated on. Since then they removed her Kidney and tumour but unfortunately it has spread rapidly and aggressively throughout her lungs.
Josh (Dad) currently is now only allowed to see his daughter 2 hours a fortnight due to the mother’s request. Before Scarlett was sick, it had been court ordered and agreed on a fair co-parent basis to spend time with her father after nearly 2 years of josh fighting in court to even see her.
Since Scarlett’s diagnosis apparently Scarlett’s best interests is that Josh’s time with Scarlett lowers over the last few months and only gets visitation 2 hours a fortnight .
Yesterday 19th of march we got the most heartbreaking news that Scarlett only has weeks to a month left on earth due to this horrible disease.
Scarlett is in Monash Children’s hospital 3 hours away from home. Josh, his partner Steph and her son have made trips up to Melbourne leaving them with very little money with having to travel , accommodation when it was needed, life expenses back at home and most importantly lawyer fees that is still ongoing.
I can only imagine the struggle they are going through and Josh and Steph aren’t the people to ask for help so I thought I’d put together this go fund me in hopes it helps a little.
They will appreciate anything donated or sharing this post would help massively through this hard journey Josh is going through.
I hope to prove to my brother that asking for help is okay especially when you’re not okay.
