Help Josh and His Family Honor Cheri’s Final Journey

Some people leave an imprint on every life they touch. Cheri is one of those people.

I am creating this fundraiser for my dear friends, Josh and Cheri, and their children during the most heartbreaking time of their lives.

When I lost my own husband, Josh and Cheri were there for me when so few others were. They offered compassion, kindness, and unwavering support during one of the darkest moments of my life. I will never forget that.

Now, they need us.

On June 9, 2026, at just 41 years old, Cheri suffered a stroke caused by previously unknown blood clots in her legs. While doctors searched for answers, they made another devastating discovery—Cheri had been battling cervical cancer.

As she began recovering from her first stroke and her family prepared for the possibility of chemotherapy, Cheri suffered a second stroke. Because of her weakened condition and the rapid progression of her cancer, Josh and their children made the heartbreaking decision to honor Cheri’s wishes and transition her to comfort care.

Right now, they are cherishing every precious moment they have left together.

Josh has remained faithfully by Cheri’s side and has been unable to work during this time. In the days and weeks ahead, he will also be grieving the loss of his wife while continuing to care for their family. The financial burden of lost income, household expenses, and the costs that accompany end-of-life care and funeral arrangements are overwhelming.

Josh wanted to share these words about the love of his life:

“Cheri spent her life dedicated to many things. Her heart of gold was what always shined through. Through many hardships, Cheri always found herself giving back more than she ever took. She touched so many lives through her art, her energy work, and her dedication to loving humanity no matter how chaotic it had become.

The biggest impact she made in this world was bringing three amazing children into it who truly found themselves because of her. Cheri was the catalyst for me becoming the best man, father, husband, and empath I could be. She always said I saved her, but the truth is, she saved me from myself and taught me the meaning of true unconditional love.

The kids and I are spending the time we have left cherishing every moment we can while honoring her wishes. Our family truly wants to thank everyone for all of the love, prayers, support, and kindness that has already been shown to us during this incredibly heavy moment in our lives.”
