My husband Joshua Hamilton is 40 years and has polycystic kidney disease, this is a hereditary disease that his mother had and lost her battle to it. Josh is in end stage kidney failure and currently on the transplant list for about 2 years now. He does dialysis every night at home. On Wednesday June 28,2023 he came home from work sick, he thought it was a stomach bug. It wasn’t. He went to his dialysis doctor and they started antibiotics right away just in case he continued to get worse throughout the day and into the nighttime Thursday June 29,2023 we woke up and he was running a high fever and severe abdominal and back pain and could barely move I had to call an ambulance to get him to the ER. They ended up running lots of labs and did a CT scan. The labs showed a sever infection and his hemoglobin was low but not bad yet, they found a large cyst of 9.6 cm on his right kidney and it was bleeding. They admitted him. And the fevers got worse and the bleeding got worse and they told him no moving he was on bed rest. Friday June 30,2023 he fevers no better, pain very bad and his hemoglobin went down to a 8.6 . So we waited Josh has been off work since Wednesday and myself ( his wife ) missed work Thursday and Friday. And will be out of work durning his surgery and any other times he needs me at the hospital. Savannah has helped with her brother by calling off work as well. I won’t be paid for my time off so any help would be appreciated to help with the growing pile of medical bills and lost income
