Help Josh and His Dad Find a Safe Home

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Josh (Mech). I’m 14 years old, and right now my dad and I are struggling with housing after being forced out of our home by my stepmom.

This has been building for years, but recently things became unsafe. My stepmom made false accusations against my dad, got him arrested, and pushed us out of the house—even though she never helped pay for it. Now she and my stepsisters are living there, while my dad and I are moving between relatives’ houses and Airbnb's just to have a roof over our heads.

It’s been really hard balancing school, practice, and traveling hours just to make it to class each day. I wake up around 5 a.m. to catch up on school and help clean wherever we’re staying, all while my dad works to cover bills and fight this in court. We’re trying to save up for a small one-room apartment so we can finally have stability again.

I’m asking for help from anyone who can support us during this tough time. The funds will go toward housing, legal fees, and the basics we need to get back on our feet. Even the smallest donation makes a huge difference—and if you can’t donate, just sharing this would mean the world.

Hello guys, I am Mech the 14 y/o RL player. Recently on Friday I was kicked out of my house due to false accusations made by my stepmom. This has been going on for years now but not to this extent. I will start from the beginging. So, when I went to my moms house around mid July we found out she was cheating on my dad in the Dominican of Republic (with picture and video proof). As a result my dad takes dancing classes (bachata) so he can take his mind off the stress. Dancing classes are expensive so he asked if someone could do it free and she said yes she could. So, when she comes back on July 28th, (I arrive on the 30th) things become tense. So, on Saturday night (night before Day 7 of the LCQ) my stepmom actually threw out all of my dad's clothes accusing him of cheating (ironic as we had pictures of her cheating). She then hit him multiple times and at times while I'm getting in between the two to help prevent the violence I was hit at times too. Sunday morning she is yelling and throwing things out saying to my dad that we must "take her to this women" so after some time we do. We take her to a parking lot and say this is where we meet. My dad would meet her at the parking lot in front of the building and would go drive her to somewhere where she could teach him (she had a son in the house so to not him she wanted to do it somewhere else due to music). So my stepmom gets mad and causes a huge ruckus over what she believes is him cheating. So, she asks to go to his cousins house so she could ask her if my dad did or not (she was the one that referred him to her). Once we are there my cousin cools her down saying things like "if you are so angry get the divorce and why would you be mad if he did as you cheated first. This was about an hour and a half before the LCQ (Day 7). So, I arrive home and take a shower and immediately go into my warm-up scrim against complexity. I was luckily blessed that day with the ability of instead of playing worse as a result of all this I was able to put my rage and all into playing better. After LCQ my dad and I go off to Europe so we can have the situation back at home to calm down. While in Europe she decided to start harassing my dad sending pictures of her eating his food saying things like "Look im eating your food that you bought with your money." She does this to ruin our vacation as best as she can, even doing parties, getting drunk with people, all while we were gone. So, when we come back, we are hit with the reality of us struggling with the bills as my dad is the only one paying (even though she works 40 hours a week making 25 an hour). Now after some time on my second day of school (Friday, September 5th) I come back to the information that she tried to throw boiling water on my dad, and she broke my dad's phone slamming it on the floor then threw it outside. So, obviously I'm fuming but I try to take a shower and get on rocket league as a way to isolate myself from the world. While I'm playing 2s with Royales, I hear a commotion downstairs so I stop playing and walk down the stairs. I see her trying to attack my dad after she threw herself on the floor. So, as a first instinct I immediately run and open my arms to body block the path in-between. She tries to push me multiple times but can't, so she runs upstairs where I follow her to make sure she does not try breaking anything like my computer or anything of value to me and my dad. She closes the door on me to my dad's room so I start walking downstairs but as I do I hear her calling the police. Police arrive, and question me, my stepsister (almost 18), and my dad. I give my account of what happened and find out my sister, who witnessed the whole event says that she did not see anything. My stepmom accused my dad of harassment, hitting her, and pulling her hair throwing her to the ground. So, my dad is takin into cuffs while I'm forced to watch. I immediately call my family and trying to get him out. I am told I should start packing a bit for about a weeks' worth. As I'm packing my dad calls me as he's escorted back telling me "Josh, hurry because we have 15 minutes to pack everything." So, I rush throwing everything I can, clothes, computer, monitors, money, basically anything of value to us. I was able to get my monitor, pc, controller, and some wires. But I left some things too like my mic arm or certain wires. As of right now, they my two stepsisters and my stepmom are living in our house (that she did not wish to pay for ever) while my dad and I are house jumping from my cousin's house on the Friday till Tuesday and then go to an AIRBNB somewhere located within Union County. I wake up every day at 5 am-5:20 as my cousins house is 2 hours away from my school and then at the AIRBNB, I wake up at 5:20 since I have to help clean the Airbnb, get ready, and obviously make sure I wake up before school. I take a 25 minute walk every morning around 6:40 and when I get back from school at 3:20. Right now, I am asking for help from all who can as my dad is trying to make ends meet and find a one room apartment. We while trying to do that have to balance our schedules and fight in court against her.
Sorry for the barely legible writing but I am rushing writing this in a time of need. If anybody could donate, even a dollar that would mean the world in helping me.
