Family in need, please help with your prayers, gifts, and/or financial donations as able. As would be the case for many families today, if one spouse finds himself with a medical diagnosis and needs to have surgery with a recovery time following, it impacts the ability of the family to pay bills for their medical expenses, their home and day to day needs. We all can relate to that.
Well, this is the story of my son, Josh Cranford. He is 41, married with 3 children, and he works full time to support his family. Earlier in 2025, he began experiencing hip pain. He has had
knee surgery before and we wondered if that was now making his hip hurt somehow. Eventually the pain became too severe and Josh went to an orthopedic doctor. After testing, it was determined he has avascular necrosis of the left hip and would need a hip replacement. Avascular necrosis causes significant joint changes by cutting off blood supply to the joint. This leads to bone tissue death, weakening and eventual collapse of the joint, severe pain and progressively develops into disabling osteoarthritis. For Josh, the pain and instability of the hip joint required him to be out of work before the surgery could be done. His job requires periods of standing, stooping, lifting, bending, and use of equipment. While out of work and prior to surgery Josh had difficulty walking and would fall with his leg not being strong enough to support him. Thankfully, the total left hip surgery was completed Dec 23rd successfully. He has much less pain now, and has progressed in therapy from using a walker to using a cane. He and all his family are very grateful for the surgery outcome and for his recovery thus far. Josh remains out of work today as he continues to progress in therapy. He has endured no income for 3 months. Please consider helping Josh and his family while he recovers. Your prayers, gifts and/or donation is deeply appreciated.
