Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
We are reaching out on behalf of Josh and Lena “Chrissy” Myers as they walk through one of the most difficult seasons of their lives. On July 10, 2025, Josh received a life-altering diagnosis: aplastic anemia.
What is aplastic anemia?
In simple terms, it’s a rare and serious condition where the body stops producing enough new blood cells. This leads to extreme fatigue, frequent infections, and uncontrolled bleeding — making everyday life incredibly difficult and dangerous. Josh’s body needs urgent help to keep producing the blood it needs to survive.
A Difficult Road Ahead
Josh’s medical team has determined that the best course of treatment is a bone marrow transplant. His siblings are currently undergoing testing to see if they are a match, and we humbly ask for your prayers during this critical waiting period.
Until the transplant can happen, Josh must receive blood and platelet transfusions twice a week, along with many other doctor visits to closely monitor his condition.
As transplant prep begins, Josh will need to be hospitalized for several weeks and undergo immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. After the transplant, he will be on strict immunosuppressants and unable to work for at least 6 months.
A Newborn at Home
In the midst of this health crisis, Josh and Chrissy were recently blessed with a beautiful baby girl, born in May 2025. Chrissy is currently on maternity leave so she can care for their newborn — and now, Josh as well.
This growing family is facing overwhelming emotional, physical, and financial burdens. The costs of medical care, travel, lost wages, and caring for a newborn will add up quickly.
How You Can Help
We’re asking for your help to ease the financial strain so Josh and Chrissy can focus on healing and family. Every dollar will go directly to support:
• Medical bills and hospital stays
• Travel expenses for frequent treatments
• Household bills and groceries
• Childcare needs
• Loss of income during leave of absences
No amount is too small — every gift, prayer, and share of this campaign makes a difference. If you feel led to give, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you for loving this family through your generosity and support. Please keep Josh, Chrissy, and their precious daughter in your prayers as they walk this long road to recovery.
